Getting started
What is The Campaign Studios?
A studio that makes fashion and product campaign photographs with AI. You choose from pictures, approve one test shot, and the rest is produced after your yes.
Do I need to write prompts?
No. You never write a prompt. You choose from pictures and from your own photographs.
How do I create an account?
Sign up with your email and a password of at least 8 characters, or with Google. You confirm that you are 18 or over and agree to the Terms and Privacy Policy. With email, we send a confirmation link to your inbox.
What happens the first time I sign in?
You name your brand, and the studio opens. Everything you make lives inside a brand: campaigns, products, files and your kit. You can rename it later and add more brands.
Do I get credits to start with?
Not before a plan. Without one you can look through every library for free. Production Credits come with a plan, and arrive the moment you choose one.
What do I need before I start a campaign?
Your own photographs of what you sell. A front, a back and a close detail give the best result, and one photograph is the minimum. JPEG, PNG, WebP and HEIC are accepted, up to 15MB each.
What are the steps to my first campaign?
1. Choose a campaign on the Studio page and press Make it your campaign. 2. Add photographs of your piece. 3. Press Price my test shot. This sets the campaign up and spends nothing. 4. Make the test shot, then look at it. 5. If you are happy, approve it and the rest of the photographs are made.
Where do I find things in the studio?
The menu has Studio, Campaigns, Brand, Files and Editor. Account, Plan and billing and Sign out are in the menu under your brand name. Help and Legal are tabs on your Account page.
Campaigns
What is a studio campaign?
A shoot the studio directed and produced. You pick one and make it yours with your own piece.
What can I choose in a studio campaign?
Your piece, and which photographs of the shoot are made with it. The cast, beauty, styling and world stay as photographed.
What is a test shot?
One photograph of your campaign, made first. Nothing else is produced until you keep it.
What can I do if the test shot is not right?
Choose what you would like changed and run it again, or ask for another test shot. Each of these shows its price before you press. You can also open the photograph in the editor.
How many photographs does a campaign make?
Six at least. You can pick more of the photographs of the shoot before you start, and the count and the credits are shown beside the button before you approve.
Can I add more photographs to a finished campaign?
Yes. On the campaign page, Want more? adds 3 or 6 more photographs, with the price shown. A campaign holds at most 60 photographs.
Can I use the same campaign with another product?
Yes. Press Create again with a new product on the campaign page or in My campaigns. Opening it costs nothing. The new campaign is priced like any other.
Where are my campaigns?
Under Campaigns in the menu. You can filter by All, In progress, Finished and Archived, and continue a campaign from where you left it.
What is the difference between archiving and deleting a campaign?
Archive puts a campaign away and keeps its photographs. You can restore it. Delete removes the campaign and its photographs for good, and the credits you spent are not returned.
Models, Worlds and shots
Who are the models in the studio?
The Cast are the studio’s own AI-made characters, not real people. Real people can apply to join as Studio Models, and a person reads every application.
Will the model look exactly like the portrait?
No. A cast portrait is direction, not a lock. The face is approximate.
Will my garment look exactly right?
It is taken from your photographs and checked, but it is not guaranteed exact. Details your photographs never showed are the usual reason a photograph is refused, so add a back and a close detail.
Can I choose the model in a studio campaign?
Not in a studio campaign. The cast, beauty and styling are as photographed. You choose your piece and which photographs are made.
What is a World?
The place a campaign is photographed in. A studio campaign is shot in one World, and it is named on the campaign page and in the Campaign Passport.
Which photographs can I choose?
The photographs of the shoot you picked. The first six are chosen for you, and you can change which ones are made before you start.
Is every photograph made with AI?
Yes. Every finished photograph is produced with AI, and people choose what goes into it. Check each one before you publish it.
Can I use a photograph of a real person?
Only with that person’s permission. Acceptable Use, on Legal, says what the studio may not be used for.
Credits
What is a credit?
Credits pay for the photographs the studio makes. What something costs is shown before you press.
When are credits spent?
Only when the studio makes something. Browsing, choosing and setting up a campaign cost nothing.
What does a campaign photograph cost?
The price is on the button before you press. Each photograph is made and charged on its own.
What does a test shot cost?
The same as one campaign photograph. Asking for another test shot is charged again.
What does a whole campaign cost?
The photographs you chose, plus the test shot. The total is shown before you approve.
What does a 4K copy cost?
The price is on the button. On the test shot screen, Get this in 4K makes a 4K copy of that photograph. Asking again for the same photograph gives you the copy you already have, at no charge.
What does a moving clip cost?
The price is shown before you choose. On the campaign page, under Bring it to life, pick a photograph and it becomes a five-second clip.
What do the editing tools cost?
Each paid tool in the editor shows its price on its button: remove background, upscale, recompose, heal, fix a detail and relight.
Where can I see what I have spent?
On Plan and billing, under Credit history. It lists your latest credit movements, including credits that were returned.
Plans and top-ups
Which plans are there?
Explore is free. Creator, Pro, Studio and Agency are paid, by the month or by the year, and each comes with credits every month. The prices are on Plan and billing.
How many credits does each plan include?
Each paid plan comes with its own number of credits a month, shown on Plan and billing.
When do my plan credits reset?
Every month, counted from the day your plan started. Your balance is set to your plan’s credits for the new month, and credits you did not use are not carried over. A yearly plan is given its credits monthly too.
What happens to credits I already have when I start a paid plan?
Explore comes with no credits. Any credits you were given before a plan are replaced by the monthly credits of that plan. They are not added on top.
What is a top-up?
Extra credits bought once, on top of a paid plan. Top-up credits last 12 months. Your plan credits are spent first, then your top-ups.
Can I buy a top-up on Explore?
No. Top-ups are for paid plans.
How do I change or cancel my plan?
On Plan and billing, choose Manage billing. If you cancel, your plan runs to the end of the period you have paid for, and then your plan credits end with it.
What happens to my credits when I move up or down a plan?
When you move up, you are given the difference in credits at once. When you move down, the smaller number starts with your next credit month.
Why do my photographs have a watermark?
Photographs made on Explore, including a free fitting, carry a watermark. Starting a paid plan removes it from the ones you have already made.
Why is 4K or video locked for me?
4K and video are part of Pro and above.
My payment went through but my plan is not showing. What do I do?
Refresh Plan and billing in a moment. The plan is written when the payment is confirmed, which can land just after you are back. If it still does not show, write to us from the Contact page.
My last payment did not go through. What now?
Update your card in Manage billing, on Plan and billing. The credits you already have stay, and your new month’s credits arrive once the payment is made.
Can I use my photographs commercially?
The Terms say commercial use needs a paid plan. Photographs made while exploring without a paid plan are for trying the studio.
How many brands can I have?
It depends on your plan. Archived brands are not counted.
Can I get a refund?
The Refund Policy, on Legal, says when a payment is returned.
Your photographs and files
Who owns the photographs I make?
The photographs made in your account are yours as far as the law allows: you own them, and we pass to you any rights we hold in them. Where the law does not recognise ownership of an image made with AI, you have a full, worldwide licence to use them for any lawful purpose. Commercial use needs a paid plan. The studio’s models and Worlds, and contributors’ pieces, that appear in a photograph do not become yours: they stay licensed to you for use in your campaigns. The Terms of Service, on Legal, say this in full in section 8.
How do I download my campaign?
On the campaign page, each photograph has its own download button, and Download all saves every photograph, one after another.
What size are my photographs?
Campaign photographs arrive at 2K. A photograph can be raised to 4K from the test shot screen.
Where are my files kept?
Under Files in the menu, for the brand you are working in. Campaign photographs are filed there too. You can search by name and sort by newest, oldest or name.
Can I upload my own files?
Yes. Press Upload on Files. PNG, JPEG, WebP, SVG, GIF and PDF are accepted, up to 10MB each.
How do I download or remove a file?
Open the file on Files. A picture can be downloaded as PNG or JPG. Remove takes it out of your files straight away, with no second question, so be sure first.
Can I take one photograph off a campaign?
Yes. On the campaign page you can take a photograph off the campaign. It stays in your files, and you can put it back.
Are my pieces and photographs private?
What you upload is yours, and other customers do not see it unless you choose to show it. If you are a contributor, a picture you switch on with Show on my profile, in Files, can be seen by anyone who opens your profile, until you switch it off. The Privacy Policy, on Legal, says what we collect and why, and that we do not use what you upload to train AI models.
Brands
What is a brand in the studio?
The place your work lives. Each brand keeps its own campaigns, products, files and kit.
How do I add, rename or archive a brand?
Open the menu under your brand name and choose Manage brands. There you can create another brand, rename one, or archive one. Your only brand cannot be archived.
What happens when I archive a brand?
It is hidden, and nothing is deleted.
How do I switch between brands?
Open the menu under your brand name and pick another brand. The studio then shows that brand’s campaigns and files.
What is the Brand Kit?
Where a brand keeps its name and tagline, logos, colours, fonts and direction. It follows the brand you are working in.
What is the Brand Studio?
Brand, in the menu. It is where you design with your photographs, for example turning a campaign photograph into an ad, and where the Brand Kit and the photo editor are.
What does making something in the Brand Studio cost?
The price is shown before you make it, and it is taken from the same credits as your campaigns. A larger size can cost more.
Team
Can my team work in my studio?
Yes, on Studio and Agency. Each person joins with their own login, and you count as one of the seats.
How do I invite someone?
1. Open Team on your Account page. 2. Enter their email and profession and press Send invite. 3. They get a link by email and join with their own login, using that same email. The invite stays open for 14 days, and you can cancel it while it is waiting.
What can a teammate do?
A teammate makes campaigns with the brands, files and credits of your studio. Billing and brands stay with you, and only you can delete campaigns, products and files.
Whose credits does a teammate spend?
The studio owner’s. Everyone in a team spends from the same credits.
How do I remove a teammate?
On Team, press Remove beside their name. They stop working in your studio straight away. Their login stays theirs, and the work they made stays with you.
How do I leave a studio I was invited to?
On Team, choose Leave this studio. Your login stays yours, and the work you made there stays with the studio.
Can I work in more than one studio?
One at a time. Leave the studio you are in before you join another. If you have teammates of your own, remove them first.
What happens to my team if my plan has fewer seats?
The newest teammates are paused, not removed. They get their seat back when there is room again.
Campaign Passport
What is the Campaign Passport?
The record of a campaign: what it was made from, and who is credited. Where nothing was recorded, it says not recorded.
Where do I find the Campaign Passport?
On the campaign page, press See Campaign Passport.
What does the Campaign Passport show?
The lead photograph, the credits by role, when the campaign was made, how many photographs it has, and every photograph on a contact sheet.
Who can see my Campaign Passport?
It is private to your studio. You open it signed in, and there is no public link to it.
Can I share the credits?
Yes. Show share card gives you a card to download for a post or a story, and you can copy the credits as text for Instagram or for press.
How is a contributor credited?
Each contributor whose work is in your campaign is listed in the Campaign Passport under their role, with the credit line they set.
Does a credit change if a contributor changes their name later?
No. The Campaign Passport keeps each credit as it was when the campaign was made.
Do I pay extra to use a contributor’s work?
Not today. Contributor payments are switched off, so nobody is charged for a contributor’s work and nobody is paid.
Contributors
Who are contributors?
Designers, photographers, stylists, makeup artists, hairstylists, set designers, models and other creative people who have a profile in the studio.
How do I apply?
Choose Become a Contributor in the studio’s menu. The form has four short parts: what you do, where to find you, the rights you confirm and your credit line.
Does it cost anything?
No. A profile is free and changes nothing about your account.
Will I be paid?
Not today. Contributors are not charged and are not paid.
What do I confirm when I apply?
That the work you submit is your own or you hold the right to license it, that the studio may show approved work to customers with your credit, that nothing is released until it is approved, and that you are 18 or over and accept the Contributor Terms.
What can I send to the studio?
Designers can send pieces, makeup artists can send makeup looks, hairstylists can send hair looks, stylists can send Styled looks, and photographers and set designers can send Worlds. For the other kinds of work you can make a profile, and there is nothing to send yet.
Is my work reviewed?
Yes. Each piece, look and World is reviewed by hand, and nothing is released before it is approved. A piece starts as a draft, private to you.
Do I keep the rights to my work?
The Contributor Terms, on Legal, say you keep ownership of what you submit and set out the licence you give the studio.
How do I take a piece down?
Open the piece in your Contributor Studio and choose Archive piece. It is hidden from customers from then on. Campaigns already made with it stay as they are.
Can I change my profile later?
Yes. Changes to your name, credit line and links save straight away and do not need reviewing again. Campaigns already made keep the credit they were made with.
Studio Models
What is a Studio Model?
A digital representation of you, built by the studio from your photographs. Campaigns are produced with it. You are not photographed for each one.
Who can apply, and does it cost anything?
Anyone aged 18 or over. Applying is free, and the studio builds your Studio Model at its own cost. A person reads every application, and acceptance is not automatic.
What does the application ask for?
Your name, where you are, age, height, measurements, experience and a short introduction, plus five recent photographs: face straight on, face three quarter, profile, full body front and full body side. JPEG, PNG or WebP, up to 15MB each.
What do I consent to?
Six separate things, each with its own tick: review of your photographs, building your digital representation, its use by customers in campaigns under the permissions you set, commercial use of those campaigns, how withdrawing works, and how your data is handled. Each is recorded with the date and the version you saw.
Can I set limits on how I am used?
Yes. Nothing is allowed unless you allow it. You set your own rules for things like makeup, hair, swimwear, lingerie, and campaigns for alcohol, gambling, tobacco or politics, and every box starts unticked.
Do I see my Studio Model before anyone else?
Yes. Nothing is shown to anybody until you have looked at every photograph and said yes. Nobody can be cast with you before that.
Will I be paid?
Not today. Nothing here charges anybody or pays anybody yet. You can record what you would ask for each kind of use, so terms can be agreed with you.
How do I withdraw?
1. Open your Studio Model page. 2. Under Withdrawing, press Withdraw from the Cast. 3. Press Yes, withdraw me. You leave the Cast straight away, so nothing new can be made with you.
What happens to my photographs when I withdraw?
The studio’s photographs of your Studio Model and the photographs you applied with are removed. Campaigns already made stay as they are, and a copy somebody already took cannot be recalled.
What happens if my application is not accepted?
Your photographs are deleted and only the decision is kept. A no now is not a no for ever, and you can apply again.
Account and your data
How do I change my name?
On Account, press Edit beside your name, change it and press Save.
How do I change my email?
On Account, press Change beside your email and enter the new address and your password. We send a link to the new address, and the change is made once you confirm it there.
How do I change my password, or reset one I forgot?
On Account, press Change beside your password. If you cannot sign in, choose Forgot password? on the sign-in page and we send you a reset link. A password needs at least 8 characters.
I sign in with Google. Why can I not change my email or password?
Your sign-in is kept by Google, so there is no password of your own to change here. You can still change your name, sign out and delete your account.
How do I sign out?
From the menu under your brand name, or on Account under Leaving.
How do I get a copy of my data?
Write to us from Account, under Your data, and we will send it. The Privacy Policy, on Legal, sets out your rights.
How do I delete my account?
1. On Account, under Leaving, press Delete account. 2. Type the email of your account to confirm. 3. Press Delete account. This cannot be undone.
What happens when I delete my account?
A paid plan is cancelled, and your account, campaigns, brands and files are removed for good. It happens straight away and cannot be undone. The Privacy Policy says what we must keep, such as payment records.
Do you use my uploads to train AI?
No. The Privacy Policy says we do not sell your data and do not use what you upload to train AI models.
Where are the Terms and the Privacy Policy?
On your Account page, under Legal: Terms of Service, Privacy Policy, Cookie Policy, Refund Policy, Acceptable Use and Contributor Terms.
When something goes wrong
A photograph failed. Was I charged?
No. Each photograph is checked, and one that fails is made once more. If it fails again it is refused and its credits come back to you automatically.
My credits have not come back yet. What should I do?
Give it about half an hour. If a photograph gets stuck, the studio finds it and returns its credits on its own. You can see returned credits on Plan and billing, under Credit history. If they are still missing, write to us from the Contact page.
My campaign stopped part way. Why?
If three photographs in a campaign fail, the studio stops it so nothing more is spent, and the credits for the failed photographs are returned.
I ran out of credits in the middle of a campaign. What now?
Nothing was charged for the photographs still to make. Once you have credits again, open the campaign and press Carry on making. It continues from where it stopped.
It says a photograph was made but could not be filed. What do I do?
Refresh the page in a moment. The photograph was made and the studio is finishing filing it.
My upload was refused. Why?
Check the type and the size. Product photographs can be JPEG, PNG, WebP or HEIC, up to 15MB. On Files, uploads can be PNG, JPEG, WebP, SVG, GIF or PDF, up to 10MB, and a file outside those is not added.
I did not get the confirmation email. What do I do?
On the sign-up page, press Send the confirmation email again. If a link says it has expired or was already used, ask for a new one.
It says too many at once. What does that mean?
The studio limits how much one account can ask for in an hour. Give it a little while and try again.
I need help with something else.
Write to us from the Contact page and a person will answer.
Still stuck?
Write to info@thecampaignstudios.com. A person reads every message.
